Tenth Feather ƸӜƷ Video / Voice
[Kohaku has been quiet for a while. She's been in the forest most of the time, to find new things, and animals, but most notably can currently be seen from her journal. Placed at just the right distance away from a new and very pretty tree she found. (Though with a few less colors.) But the silence is broken soon by her laughing. This is something very new to her, even if other people can't hear it, it looks so new.
And the amazement is quite clear in her voice.]
I've seen so many plants before, but this is the first one that I've ever found to have more than one personality!
...I have no idea how I'm supposed to talk to it though...Talking to more than one plant at a time is already confusing enough...
[Then much later in the day-]
Uhm...I've been avoiding asking this for a long time, but...is there anyone that would be willing to teach me how to swim? I've never been in a lot of water, but I always hear that it's a lot of fun...
And it seems a little strange to be so old and have never tried it before...though I haven't tried a lot of things.
Maybe it might be a good idea to make a list of things I should try some day...
...
...That would be a really long list...

[Firo's use of the term is pretty confusing. It doesn't help that his camorra Family is also his "family".]
I mean, I had parents before that, but these guys are family.
[Voice]
[Yep, she's confused.]
[Voice]
[Szilard was Ennis's "parent", in a way, but he sure as hell wasn't family.]
But family's not just people you're related to. I couldn't have been born with a better family than what I have now.
[The Martillos, Ennis, Czes, the Gandor brothers... and some people that he's met in Luceti, too. He's gone from being an orphan only child to a tiny cog in a big family and he couldn't be happier.]
[Voice]
I've never thought about family though. It's not like angels are really related...but we do have teachers who we're close to.
[Voice]
[Man. Much of his childhood he spent longing for that little place where he could belong.]
Maybe that's kinda like it... But family's a whole lot more than just bein' close. You'd do anything for each other.
[Voice]
But I'd do a lot of things to help out someone I've never even met. [Just...not break rules anymore. She learned her lesson.]
[Voice]
...Ain't we special.
[He's just a little bitter, really! When he was younger, he couldn't have imagined a complete stranger helping anyone. And he's still skeptical.]
Most people wouldn't--maybe they'd go outta their way to screw you over, but not to help.
My Family woulda' been within their rights to kill me, but they didn't.
[Voice]
But just about everyone here is nice, and helpful..
[Voice]
[He doesn't know if he should fight her on her comment about killing. While he would have hated to be dumped in the river as a child, there are people he wouldn't hesitate to kill now.
Just as he's considering his retort, her next statement hits him. He wants to argue, but he's marveled over the same kindness so many times himself.]
...It's better than most places, I guess. There are some really good people here.
[And some who've come and left. He tries not to dwell on that, but it's hard when the memories are so fresh.]
[Voice]
[But she sighs a little. She has a feeling that it's because she's not connected to too many humans, or situations that don't have anything to do with magic.]
I've been here for a long time, and I've only met two bad people.
[Voice]
If you don't look for the bad, you're not gonna see it comin' until it's stabbed you in the back.
So what'd these two "bad" people do?
[Voice]
Killed me...
[Voice]
[For a moment he's puzzled; what could she do to make someone want to kill her? But, unfortunately, he's encountered many people who'd kill with little to no reason.]
...Huh, yeah, that'd do it. Who were they?
[Voice]
[They just hated angels.]
Their names are Naoya, and Dilandu...
[Voice]
Would you say anybody who's tried to kill someone is a bad person?
[Voice]
...No. [But that is an obviously forced answer. It goes against everything she thinks could be right, but...she lives with someone, and she does know he's killed more than just a few people.]
[Voice]
He's audibly skeptical.]
You sure about that?
[Voice]
[Voice]
[It's probably a mean question, but Firo has a hard time not pushing people on these things.]
[Voice]
[This...is a bit of a painful memory. She's no longer sad or scared over it, in fact, this is the closest to anger as she can get.]

[She doesn't know exactly when though. A few people made sure she kept away from them...and distracted her when they were on the journals.
